Hey bronwen, Euhm, I never saw a chaos or something. Most of the time you have to wait half an hour, and many fans went home at that time (people have to catch a train ore something). I've had the chance to chat with him, and with JC (maybe more), I think they recognize me now. I thought I put some pictures of meet and greets here, but I can't find them anymore. So, again some pictures: "That's Live radio 3FM" 2005?

Pinkpop 2006?
Pukkelpop 2008

The pictures are not very charming, but it's nice to have them!

Esther... I know the guys are pretty big these days in Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. There must be a lot of fans waiting around for photo's etc. Do you get a chance to chat to them at gigs these days? I know you probably have more chance than a lot of the newer fans 'cos the guys probably know you quite well by now. What are the meet and greets like over there? Are they chaos?

Hiya Roxy! Sorry about the tour with the Damned getting cancelled? What part of the states do you live in? Have you been able to get to any of the recent shows? Meet 'n greets...depends on the type of show, venue, how popular they are in that location etc. I expect that if it's a showcase type gig there'll be formal meet 'n greets with media people or record company execs. If they're supporting another band in a larger venue they won't have a personal guest list and security will be tight...but they will usually stop for photo's with fans and a quick chat outside by the bus; as long as they don't have to rush off to catch a plane or something. Try getting to the venue before soundcheck time...You'll probably catch them going back and forth from their tourbus (or van!) Dan's probably your likeliest bet for a good chat pre-gig 'cos JC and Danko often have work to do ( JC manages the band and Danko might be tour-blogging.) If they're headlining a small club somewhere they're not that well known, or have a small cult following, and the venue stays open for drinking after the gigs finished....that's the best! The guys will usually come out of their dressing room 20 mins or so afterwards and say hello to any fans that have stuck around !

Hey SteveC...I've been wondering about the dvd myself, as have a lot of other fans. I did ask about it on the new forum but got no reply ( but I kinda got used to being ignored on there lol .) Then someone else asked about it a short while ago and got a fairly prompt reply from Danko. He said that they had so much great footage filmed over the years it was getting difficult to sift through it all and choose material for the dvd. It's turning into a 'chinese democracy' waiting process, isn't it! Personally, I just think they were enthusiastic about the idea some time ago but it all got put aside to concentrate on NTL, B-Sides and touring. Now they're excited about the forthcoming new album...and I'm excited to hear it too. I've got to say though...I wasn't at all convinced by Danko's answer about the delay; it felt to me like a stalling tactic and that he's holding his cards pretty close to his chest. I get a little gut feeling that there's something else going on . I hope it's a positive thing...like maybe they're thinking about putting the dvd out with the new album as a limited edition? Or saving it for the next 'B-sides' package?

Isn't it about time we had an official Danko Jones dvd.How hard can it be for a record company sort this out.Especially now we've lost those gigs on fabchannel. Why not buy the rights for that Paradiso gig and release that? Or if they can't do that at least release a dvd with all the promo videos on.
Come on you lot at Bad Taste,I know you read this cos you've contacted me for dvds in the past after reading my previous posts.
What does the future hold for an official Danko Jones dvd?????

Oh, and while I remember, did you know Danko joined Motorhead onstage in Toronto recently? I only found out last week. I'll have a hunt for the vid next time I'm online... If I find it I'll post it up in the' live' section. It's bedtime for now though...

Yeah.. my first thought when I heard about the line up was ' wow, I'm chuffed for them..that's an amazing tour to get on...but they're very brave taking it on!'. Axl's not well known for treating support bands well, is he? The guy that was putting on Danko's Ohio gig was on facebook talking about that. He said he hoped that the guys get full front of house sound and a proper soundcheck etc. Do go to this one if you can though, it'll be worth it to see DJo...and if Axl comes on stage two hours late or does a no-show, perhaps the guys can go back on stage and stop the audience from rioting! It'll be a memorable gig anyway...

I can't get onto the official danko site from my mobile phone (my laptops been broken since april,) so I've been relying on Danko's sound-guy Corey to keep me up to date on Facebook!
