I went! Im so happy I did! It was soo good! Night started off with "comedian" nick flanagan. I had no idea who he was until the end of the night, obviously Im not up on my whos who in music. Apparently he's in brutal knights. I actually really liked them the one time they played with dj. But that was just brutal. I think that was the shtick of it, but it was really painful. Next...I was pretty disappointed the leather uppers werent there, I was ready for "sexytime". "Uncut" showed up in their place. Just not my kind of sound. My friend liked them though if thats any consolation...lol. This isnt sounding very optimistic so far. But the boys made it all wonderful in the end. This was the first show in a long time that I saw a toronto crowd truly enjoy them. I looked around and saw people actually jumping to the music instead of standing there stoic. I really like "king of magazines" live. I liked that they played a lot of new stuff mixed with a lot of old stuff.I wouldve loved "forest for the trees" Me and mango were going crazy in the front though. Alive and on fire...rock shit hot, samuel sin...I was losing my damn mind. AND THEN....BOUNCE. yayayayaaa. SO GOOD. Dan completely impressed me with his solo...you go boy! Jc's hair was very luxurious I must say. He also had some crazy booty pants on. Wish my butt looked that good in tight pants. Dankos hair was also very luxurious. His pants were tight as well. But I could only see the top half of him all night from where I was. He is still a lovely half person. Highlight: "good things grooow in ontariooo" hahaha
At any rate...I love them...and am so happy I went to the show. Thanks guys for rockin my butt. I also really like my new girly shirt..I will be wearing it everywhere.

Hey Dr. Evening. At the next show, just look for the shortest girl in the place with a hat on, and that will probably be me. Feel free to say hi.

I thought Nick was quite funny and laughed most of the way through his set.
I really enjoyed Uncut as well.
As for Danko, I'm not big on the newer songs. The show was ok but I've seen many way better Danko shows,

I was there and it was good. It seemed to me like they didn't play that many new songs...or maybe I was a bit drunk which is likely. I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing Sugar High live. Highlight of the show for me.

They played never too loud, code of the road, king of magazines...I think they played a couple more...i know theres at least one more...and sugar high. They played a good mix anyhoo. Something from every album which is good. But a lot from aaof...which is so bloody good. Sugar chocolate...I almost died of happiness....maybe next show. death by chocolate.

Spun, your review made me grin! luxurious hair, lol... has Danko grown it an inch? Glad it was a good night for all, and a good audience by the sound of it. I do the 'look for the shortest one in the place' thing too, and frequently wear hats. Usually I'm identified by looking for ' the shortarse with purple hair, skinny legs and a scarf.' My large scarf collection means I tend to walk around looking like Stephen Tylers mikestand.

And oh yes, King of Magazines is indeed a sexy-bass muthafunker of a song, especially live. It blew my mind first time I ever heard it, back when they 'tested' it in London in febuary. I remember asking Danko about it after the gig, while trying not to mention It had had such a horny effect. ;D I did mistake the lyrics though...thought he'd been singing 'getting high on a shot of her rug' instead of 'mug'...oops!
