For those of you Dankoholics who don't happen to subscribe to the Danko Jones Mailing List (DJML) I'll take the liberty to post a copy of the latest edition, no fear, i'm sure the band would like to get the latest info out to as many fans as possible, we are all the same, we LOVE this freakin awesome band ;D. Sadly the 1st item you'll notice, born out of necessity, is the loss of the band's devoted webmaster, Dobbs who has been a beacon of light for us all during those periods of change and anxiety Somehow he always kept us in the know, and we wanted to know too, his info was golden. We appreciate all that Dobbs has acomplished over the years, he's an ace, he'll be missed...take a well-deserved bow Dobbs!!!!!!!!
Here's the latest, there's further good news about online Danko... some gig's too...peace, love and cheers y'all:

Hi Folks,
I still remember the day I had Danko and John into my basement apartment to
show them what the internet was. They had no recordings (and had only played a
few gigs), no email addresses of any kind, and not much of a fan base. I
encouraged them to get up a site and we worked together to give you the best
site we could--1997 style! Ten years later and the mailing list is topping 8000
people, there's a terrific fan-run forum, we've done something like eight
different site designs, and you're still pumping your fists in the air.
Thanks!
That said, this will be my final installment of the DJML ... I've simply got
too many other things going on taking my time these days. A short while ago I
turned in my badge as the DJ web site/mailing list sheriff and the hunt began
for someone to fill my boots.
The more observant/obsessive among you (you know who you are) have already
noticed that dankojones.com is down for an overhaul. When it comes back up,
there'll be someone else at the helm. I wish them and the band luck with the
future and I'm sure I'll see some of you at the Toronto shows.
Thanks and so long, folks!

We are sad to see Dobbs leave his post as our webmaster general for www.
dankojones.com.
He's been doing the tedious day to day tasks of operating the site since year
one of our band. He's seen us through all of our drummer changes and all our
album releases, from the first 7" to last year's "Sleep Is The Enemy" album.
It'll feel different not having him there. Over the years he's been our online
liason to the people who dig our stuff.
We wish him best of luck in the future.
---------------------------------------------------------------
While we are in the middle of reconstructing the site and getting our new
online team together, I'll be temporarily taking over the DJML newsletter.
There's been a few things that we might've missed telling you due to our studio
hibernation...
- We have two dates coming up in December: December 8 in Montreal @ Les Saints
and December 20 in Toronto at The Horseshoe Tavern.
There's also a show on the Close-Up Baten Metal Cruise departing Stockholm,
Sweden on February 14, 2008 and returning the following day. Also on the bill
will be Soilwork, Municipal Waste, Avatar, General Surgery and our pals, The
Backyard Babies. Hope you all can make it onboard. This show/cruise is being
put on by Close-Up magazine (www.closeupmagazine.net) where I have a monthly
column.
Following that we will be in Cologne, Germany @ The Palladium for the Visions
Festival, co-headlining with Coheed & Cambria on February 16, 2008.
- Our buddies out in NYC, Puny Human, have released their new album called,
"Universal Freak Out" on Smallstone Records. The dudes asked me to contribute
some vocals on a track, and I was more than happy to oblige. I called up our
trusty bud, Vic Florencia (mixer extraordinaire) to help engineer my vocals and
the end result appears on their track, "The Real Johnny Charm".
- Back in July, due to some scheduling conflicts with our album recording, I
was unable to participate in this year's annual Toronto Thin Lizzy Celebration.
Luckily enough The Mcbrides were willing to back me up and with the help of
Kevin Hillard filming, Tim Foy at the soundboard, and Roger Costa editing, we
laid down two Lizzy covers. The end result can be seen on Youtube:
youtube.com/watch?v=idQOeAlFVd0 (Do Anything You Want To)
youtube.com/watch?v=qkVvCcNE970 (Genocide)
- The three-piece instrumental band, Removal have just released a compilation
of all their 7" singer collaborations on Cd. Singers include, Peaches, Snake
(Voivod), Chi Pig (S.N.F.U.), Devin Townsend, Mike Watt and yours truly. Check
it out at: www.myspace.com/removeallmusic.com & www.removeallmusic.com.
- For all Magical World Of Rock radio show listeners, it's been quite obvious
that the show's website (www.magicalworldofrock.com) has been in great need of
an update. While we are reconstructing the dankojones.com website we will also
be redesigning the MWOR site. Hold tight rock fans, if all goes well it's gonna
look pretty kewl.
Finally, the new record is almost complete! We are in the process of mixing and
mastering right now. It's called NEVER TOO LOUD. All I can say is that it's a
no-frills hard rock album (just how we like it). But with Nick Raskulinecz at
the production helm we were really able to take it to some new levels.
Recording at Studio 606 was also a morale booster and a great inspiration to
lay down the tuneage. We can't wait for you all to check it out and give a
listen.
While the www.dankojones.com site is down for repair make sure you check out our myspace page at: www.myspace.com/dankojones and our fan-run message board at: danko.proboards18.com/
TURN IT UP AND SAY AAAAAGGGHHH!!!!!!
