danko, jc and dan really rocked vienna's arena tonight.
a sunday night that was full energy, which is expected at a danko jones show but something happened that was unexpected tonight.
i am a proud canadian that is living in europe and i take any chance i get to see canadian bands over seas. today i saw danko jones for the 10th time and 6th time in vienna. i love it and i look forward to when bands say where they are from and are proud of it.
today danko said something that took the whole crowd by surprise..... after saying they were from toronto danko mentioned that he loved to come to vienna and that he feels at home here, even more so then in toronto followed by the bomb... 'fuck that place'
canada what has happened at home that a great canadian rock band does not just glance over the fact they are from canada but actually puts their home town down at a show?
i was also at the danko show at the horseshoe in december and it was full energy and a great time. what has driven danko to such a comment? danko i hope that your comments tonight were driven by too many good austrian beers and not something else.
europe does love danko but im sure canada does even more so. can you please expand or explain?
a danko fan, nick deforest st.catharines on/vienna austria

I wouldnt read anything into it.... It was probably merely for the audience and nothing more.
When bands come to a city and cut down its "rival city"... why do they do that?
Probably go to the "rival city" the next night and do the same thing! Its just for fun on the stage and getting the crowd jacked.
I could be wrong.... but I doubt it.

Jupp, I do think bands tend to brag about the city they play in, and mostly thats just for putting up a good show. I think the only place Danko might actually mean something like this i in Sweden. BTW Welcome to the board

I think you might be taking it a little too personally forest nick. I live in toronto, and I say "fuck this place" all the time. And I havent even been anywhere else. I dont think he's purposely dissing all of canada. And if he is..well eff him too that effing jerk. jk...*hearts*

Get the lid back on the can of worms quick...Whoops, too late, some of them just escaped. Isn't the UK at the top of Danko's 'they suck' list then? (seeing as we're supposedly the 'armpit' of Europe, full of ugly women and binge-drinking scum.) Crunch,Crunch, there goes more eggshells...I might as well walk all over them now, seeing as I always manage to break a few when tip-toeing around them . Anyway, welcome to the board, Nick! Let's add some alcohol and make eggnogs (whoops, there I go again)

"I think the only place Danko might actually mean something like this i in Sweden." Haako, what do you mean? Cause he has several times said that he considers Sweden to be he`s second home.
