I know, u guys will all think that I'm nuts but i onlylisten to the Kid. There is a little history with this however, a few years ago i went into a depression mode that was so deep that i was obligated to retire from my career. Along with everything else, music died in my soul, then one evening while vegging in front of the tube there was a little blurb on there about this Danko Jones cat, hmmm ok, then they ran a little tape of his show from somewhere, wow, oh wow, my adrelenine started to run crazy, endorphines went flying to every part of my body. Recovery has commenced, all is well now, thank you Danko Jones, i will forever be in your debt. . I play it over and over and over, it makes you feel so good, I'll never grow tired of this stuff, amen.

Oh I forgot to mention - I totally fell in love Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang track (it's also in Kill Bill soundtrack). It's so beautiful. Nancy's got few other good songs too. If you haven't hear Nancy before, visit www.nancysinatra.com/media.html and click the "jukebox" link.

The regular comebacks in my CD player are as follows... When I'm in a party mood: Of course Danko Jones, plus Sepultura, Slipknot, Dropkick Murphys, Andrew WK, Entombed and Nine. If its study time I throw on some: Monster Magnet, Turbonegro, Neurosis, Machine Head and Downset. Angry? Then these babies roll: Skarhead, Raging Speedhorn, Madball, Hatebreed, Raised Fist and Blood For Blood. When I am in a luuuuv mood, its always Danko. Always... ;D Man, I love this topic. I could go on forever....

I have a weird music taste.
Danko Jones, The hives, the vines, Lacuna Coil, Dire Straits, Sting, Imani Coppola, Relax, The Donna's, horribly enough I like music from the '50s, all kinds of jazz but especially Yoko Kanno's work for Cowboy Bebop, Keith Caputo, Life of Agony, Lisa Loeb, all kinds of britpop but I mostly like random songs. Er, I think that was about it.

Shit, rocky! That's a heavy, but cool story!
I must say, if something like that happened to me, I doubt I'd write about it in an online post - even if it was The Kid that snapped me out of it! I think I would feel too embarassed or something. Also it makes me wonder if the songs My Time Is Now or I'm Alive and On Fire have any added impact for you.
Anyway, it's a cool story. Thanks for sharing, dude!

Thanks for sharing, dude! Oh gosh Tidy, i never would have mentioned this , but its all water under the bridge now. It was strictly job-related stress, the fastest rising maladie in our workforce nowadays. I feel great now, only time i get nervous is when i look in a mirror ;D As we all know, the quickest way to chase the blues is to unleast those endorphines, music can be a trigger, Danko Jones' music was an explosion for me.

Danko Jones music is a great way to get a shiny up-middle-finger attitude. When I broke up with my boyfriend, every time I started to feel sad I played one of Danko Jones' "love sucks" songs and thought "YEAH!". if my ex would have known that he would never have said this band named Danko Jones could be my kind of music I think it's cool that music can help us all out so much!
