Milkei: No I wouln't blame anyone for being wannabe scandinavian... but only a few select members of this board are lucky enough to wear authentic scandinavian leather.

the Headstones have always been one of my fave bands....i am still sad about them parting ways with each other......i saw them live once, and it was amazing - the crowd went nuts.

I disagree with you Danko... I saw Deftones 2001 in Belgium Rockwerchter and I loved them! I like White Pony so much, the new album is not so good though.
At the same festivals I proposed my hubby... Beck was playing at the time... I was really really drunk... I told my hubby to keep my pint for awhile... I went down on my knee... so romantic... ;D *horselaugh*

This is a great thread. Let's see where do I start?
Metallica - my all time favorite
Lamb of God - As the Palaces Burn is one of the best metal albums i have ever heard.
Opeth - amazing live band and jaw dropping musical ability.
Korn - new album rocks, much like their debut. Love Davis' death metal growling on some songs.
Incubus - one of my favorite bands ever. Their albums have meant a lot to me over the years. The new one is good too.
Deftones - not as big a fan of them as i used to be, but they still hold a good place for me.
I Mother Earth - I loved their last album. i like them much more now than i did when Edwin was in the band. I've met them too and are great, down to earth guys.

I am about to endure in my first ever Metallica live experience. I have seen some videos, and heard the reviews - but I don't think it will be nearly as good as tomorrow night. March 23rd, in Edmonton.
Unfortunately, Danko isn't opening up for them. If I had it my way, Metallica would be opening tomorrow. Then DJ would tear the place up...but, I am not that rich or powerful, so both bands in the same month will have to do.

Baller..I think u should come down here and take bakery with u in yer knapsack...she would have a heart attack. We've known eachother since we were 8...she's been a metallica fan since I think! Some of my fav bands/artists are: DANKO JONES (of course) The beat junkies, Jimi Hendrix, Audioslave, Incubus, Wu tang clan,Common,House of Pain,Pharcyde,Queen,Roni size,Capitol J,Sleether,Metallica,Disturbed, Stone Temple Pilots, The executioners, The 4 seasons, Louis Armstrong, Diana Krall, funkdoobiest, talib kweli, coldplay, basement jaxx P.S Rocky I think DJ would be very touched they've had such an impact on your life. Everytime I'm in a bad mood, I put on DJ and I hate it in a way, because I can't stay mad..I gotta get out of my seat and shake ma booty...I love their music so much. Maybe I don't know all the inside scoop on a lot of indie bands and stuff like that..but I know what I like and what sounds good to me. Whenever I think about people who've done me wrong and boys who've broke my lil heart..I think of DJ's line: "ONE MONKEY DONT STOP NO SHOW" and i think of mountain...and I'm like "Screw u people..I'm gonna find people 10X better than u!" I will be a fan till I die! P.S i really like death from above as well now that i've heard them! And of course illuminati..waiting for that second album to come out. Man I like too many artists, I'm modifying this every 5 minutes!

What do you mean, second album? The Illuminati don't have a first album (do they?)
Executioners are cool. Fine turtablism. Former Beasties DJ Mix Master Mike has some cool stuff too, spun. Why, oh why did I sell my mixer and second turntable...
EDIT: I checked the Illuminati website. The first record was a six song EP. Their first true full-length album is coming out "soon."

Ya why did u..u shoulda sold them to me..I'm dying for a set...I can't afford them for a while though. Ya...u know Mixmaster Mike gets so many big ups, but sometimes I don't like his technique. I love beat junkies more. DJ Babu (babz) is fantastic. Well, I said first album because I saw the cd on the shelves so I considered it the first album, because it was a comp available to public. I notice though, with the professional recording they take out some of the grit which I don't like cuz grit is good sometimes. I only knew that song as "Whatever turns u on" because that was the title when I found it...sorry..now I know better and knowing is half the battle "GI JOOOOE"..american idooool....american hero rather!

Coincidentally, I just listened to Rise Of Brutality by Hatebreed today, and I'm going to see Priestess play next Friday. Do you have the Priestess full-length yet Grinchy? Because I haven't heard it.
