New Nine Inch Nails instrumental album (Ghosts). I love the way Reznor is selling it (check nin.com) but this one will not likely get many repeat listens. It's a wee bit dull.

For the last few days I've been playing relentlesly the new Gorefest album "Rise To Ruin". Don't know why, but I didn't expect it to be this good. I reminds me of "Erase" which I like very much. And the 2 bonus tracks on the limited edition are (maybe) the best songs on the album, so I recommend getting this version.
Today I bought the new Death Angel album "Killing Season" and I'm spinning it for the first time as I write these lines. It sounds great, very energetic. It's like they reinvented themselves, back to the roots in a great style. If you liked the old Death Angel (first 2 albums) and "The Art Of Dying" didn't satisfy you completely, then this is the album for you. Nick Raskulinecz produced the album, the same guy that produced Danko's "Never Too Loud".
I've also bought the new Meshuggah album. Those who listen to Meshuggah knows what to expect (and they'll probably love it!), those who never got into them will probably still feel the same way about them. I love it.
On the "light side", I also bought the new Beady Belle album. I love them to death. I hope they will tour this part of the planet again.

Yeah, the new Death Angel really is quite good. Gotta admit though that I don't like Mark Osegueda's (?) vocals in some of the songs. A tad too melodramatic for my liking. This may be due to 'Lord of Hate' overshadowing the whole record though. The song is far too Power Metal if you ask me.

Coheed And Cambria! I love their last album! I have heard of this guys many years ago, but never got to listen to their music. Then I've read that Taylor Hawkins plays drums on their new album. That got me interested. Seeing that the Nick Raskulinecz is responsible for the production duties was another big plus. I bought the album couple months later and I was blown away. It caught me by surprise, didn't expect that I would like it so much. I've been listening to it for days, non-stop, literally! It's a strange mix of everything that I like.

Have anybody heard Cavalera Conspiracy? It's the reunion album/project of Cavalera brothers of Sepultura. I bought the album and I've been listening to it for 2 weeks straight. It's one of the best old-school-thrash-sounding albums in years. The last one that hit me this hard was Dave Grohl's Probot. There are some modern sounds and styles, but it definetly has that old-school thrash feel to it. If anyone is still missing the old Sepultura sound, or old-school thrash in general, this might do the trick...
P.S. - It took me twice as long to write this post, thanks to bighairygrinch's avatar. There's something mesmerizing about it. Thanks, grinch!
