Thought I'd throw my current playlist into the ring so here goes:
Jeff Beck - Ola Melvins - (A) Senile Animal UFO - Force It Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak Cult Of Luna - Somewhere Along The Highway Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti Mastodon - Blood Mountain
I wanted pink too but the 8 giggers only come in black. But yeah, I love it. That Steve Jobs is a smart motherfucker. And I was able to take a chunk out of the $399 price tag through the miracle that is ebay. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't come with an armband and they assrape you with the price of accessories. Did you get an armband loudie?
Just to keep relatively on topic, today I listened to:
Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes - TV On The Radio Kiss Of Death - Motorhead Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live - Lil Scrappy
John Butler Trio - Grand National Tenacious D - Pick of Destiny Stone Templ Pilots - Nr. 4 Audioslave - Revelations McQueen - Break the Silence Cold War Kids - Robbers &Cowards Antony and the Johnsons - I'm a bird now 2StepMarv - selftitled
Picture quiz: WHO IS THIS?
Truth be told, if there were any justice in this world, Danko Jones would be the biggest band from here and filling sold-out arenas instead of warming them up
I'm also really digging Baby 81. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is great. When I found out about their show in Vancouver, I wanted to go, but then I found out they sold out the day tickets went on sale. Good for them, not for me.
I also really want to get my hands on The Pipettes' album, but the best quote I could get was $35 for the album as an import. That blows. No one carries the band in Calgary and no one knows who they are.
I've had Wilco's double live album, Kicking Television, since Christmas 2005. To this day, I still listen to it at least once a week. I love it to death. I can't wait to get my copy of their new album, Sky Blue Sky, which I am expecting in the mail some time this week (along with a Wilco t-shirt).
