You said you miss that kind of view. Does that mean you have lived on the countryside before or what? I have never been to Finland or Helsinki (Helsningfors in Swedish, weird huh?), exept for a couple of hours on the airport... But Finland is VERY nice when you fly over it. It looks like its half lakes and half forrest. Here in Sweden people sometimes calls Finland "The land of a thousand lakes", cheesy. ;D

Here is a link to my hometown's website, blink and you will miss it. www.town.newglasgow.ns.ca/ I work in the library, I have the 'chicks only' section all to myself, men, arrggh. I am officially retired from my career job, in the liquor industry, the library job is just for extra spending money so i can spoil my teen-age kids even more, they love me, now Here's what i hear from them all the time: "Dad will you be ever off the computer" or "Dad can I ever put my CD in ", oh nooo, its the Eminem show, now lets count the cuss words.

You said you miss that kind of view. Does that mean you have lived on the countryside before or what? Yes, thats what I ment Not exactly on the countryside, but I used to spend all my free time with horses etc. I have never been to Finland or Helsinki (Helsningfors in Swedish, weird huh?), exept for a couple of hours on the airport... But Finland is VERY nice when you fly over it. It looks like its half lakes and half forrest. Here in Sweden people sometimes calls Finland "The land of a thousand lakes", cheesy. ;D Its Helsingfors, not Helsning.. AND We call it The land of thousand lakes too If somebody didn't know, sweds and finns have this little competition always going on... and some finns hates sweden 'cause we have to learn swedish at school... Not me! Sac knows i speak marvelous swedish ;D

I live in Portugal, near a city called Porto (that's Oporto in its internacional name) home of world famous Oporto wine. Not that i drink alcohol, it's just a reference Here's a very "postcard" photo i took from the other side of the river with a view over the city. pwp.netcabo.pt/spacegirl/stuff/porto.jpgFrom what i've seen in place i've passed by in my europeans trips (Holland, Germany .. ) there's quite a difference when it comes to building organization. In Porto there seams to be none when you have a first look at that "hill" full of houses and basically a mess. And at second look and the following your opinion remains the same It's a beautiful and historical city though. But the North European countries have such gorgeous views too From what I've read I think Sweds and Finns have the "same" thing going on as the Portuguese and the Spanish or maybe the English and the French. But honestly, it is so foolish (and i talk about portuguese/spanish because that's what i know more).

But Finland is VERY nice when you fly over it. It looks like its half lakes and half forrest. It is half lakes and half forrest... I'm temporarily living on the countryside (in a tiny town) near Tampere. After Christmas I'll return to Tampere which is a city of 200 000 people (it's the biggest inland city in the Nordic countries) 170 km north from Helsinki. High technology, big lakes, rapids, ridges. And there's a tower too. www.tampere.fi/matkailu/kuvat/hsilta2b.jpg Tell me if you want to see more pics. [-- I have to say that I find Swedish men prettier than Finnish. I enjoy reading Amelia. I like Stockholm better than Helsinki. I don't carry a knife and I don't care about sports. I even like Absolut better than Finlandia. Have I betrayed my country? Forgive me, milkei. ;D]

Well i am aware of the fact that its only a myth that all finns carry knives.
Absolut tastes better then Finlandia (and any other vodka for that matter). But lapin kulta tastes better then any of the swedish beers and lagers.
