A quick look at Much's George reveals that Danko Jones is one of his fav band, Keewwwll George, good man, here's his bio from the much website:
Girls follow him home, rabid metal fans threaten to blow his head off and his own mom refuses to watch his show."
- Edmonton Journal, July 2002
THE GIG…
Producer & Host of "The Punk Show"
Host of "The NewMusic", "LOUD" & "MuchNews"
THE DUES: PAID IN FULL…
George does not take his current Much gig lightly – with nearly a decade of experience under his belt, he’s a true on-air vet whose well-honed interview skills get straight to the issue. Combining technical ability with honesty, perseverance and guts, George always makes the most of his opportunities.
George is comfortable taking a stand, and he’s got the street cred to back it up. Whether it’s putting Prime Minister Jean Chrétien on the hot seat or having John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers call him a f***ing a**hole on air (they later made up – all is now cool with the two), George takes care of business.
THE LIFE: LIVING IT…
George, who wants to be a rock ‘n’ roll frontman when he grows up, immerses himself in the music that means so much to him. This passion has guided his career and the results speak for themselves. Of course, living a rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle is really just an attitude, and George has plenty of that.
QUICK BITS…
Music Musts: Rancid, [glow=red,2,300]Danko Jones[/glow] Pantera, AC/DC, Dr. Dre, Jersey, Slipknot and, of course, Led Zeppelin, The Clash and Rage Against The Machine
Working His Way To Much: Former George gigs include movie theatre usher, forklift driver, sandwich maker… and even some time in the armed forces
How Would You Describe Yourself? “Grateful to be alive – seriously!”
The Look: Street pop
Born in Toronto and raised in Malton and Rexdale, Ontario, George graduated from Humber College's Radio Broadcasting program in Toronto.
