I know we arent realy fond of the whole popscene, but there is some stuff out there that we like now and then, soo..what is it? Personally i realy like what that Pharrel Williams is doing, his colaborations sound cool. But his own stuff 'N.E.R.D' is even better, real instrumental relax music, so share

I love Dido, is she pop? Also Nora Jones, hmm maybe she is jazz, not sure...these gurls can flat-out sing regardless, imho.

Sad to say, the only "pop" (not rally, more like a classic) I have in my collection is a few vinyls with Simon & Garfunkel. Ooh, and another vinyl with a cool Swedish pop band called Just D! But I like some stuff that are played on the radio sometimes too, until its played 1000 times too much...

I like Dido and N.E.R.D too. "She Wants To Move" - how great is that song? I've been having MTV on just hoping to see that video again (and "Reptilia" by The Strokes).
I also like Sugababes a lot. ;D

Reptilia by The Strokes indeed! The guitar from that song has been stuck in my head something awful lately.

I thought I'd have a heart attack when I saw this thread..I thought the overall mentality was "if its not hard - its crap" Lets see...I don't like pop. BUT unfortunately miss britney usually gets someone to produce her beats for her and they sometimes they are really good..like beats for toxic, boyz that kind of stuff..boyz was produced by n.e.r.d/neptunes wasnt it? Anyways, hate her stank ass but love those beatz. Norah Jones is jazz, very soothing voice, very pretty.

A lot of the catchiest pop tunes out there by Brittney, Christina, Justin and the like are produced by Pharell Williams. That boy is mouy talented.
Norah Jones is good - and enormously popular. Ditto for Alicia Keys. My fave mellow CD at the moment is the new one from the fine Toronto band Metric. I guess you can't rock out all the time...
