Just got home from the gig in sthlm... It was really great... a blast as always. But... clearly the band is not as tight as it was. Maybe it'll change after this tour. It's not that weird, they played with Damien for such a long time. But, as I said, really frikking good anyways

I really agree to that it was a great gig. And Mr JC was outstanding!! BUT ( here comes the Butts) playing a show like that without even presenting the new member is not good. It clearly showed that the new drummer have a huge place to fill now when Mr Richardsson is gone, and totally deserved a presentation.
Danko, if you ever read this..... PLEASE give Richardsson a call..... Danko Jones without him is like a car with three wheels, like a Pizza without cheese!!
And if Mr Richardsson reads this:
Duude... this is all that you probably have dreamed of!! "We Sweat BlooD"!!!!!!

Energy. Strength. Guts. Humour. Sweat. The smell of too many people farting (that didn´t happen when smoking was allowed indoors, eh?).Mr Loudmouth Jones. All in all a great show. But I think the need for rehearseing before the tour was immensely underestimated. As a drummer myself I know that it´s crucial that you feel relaxed and selfconfident about everything eg concerning breaks, and fills and stuff, but unfortunately I don´t think Dan had been given the opportunity to gain that confidence and that "I know every beat by heart and play the songs right even when unconscious"-feeling. And it showed, I´m sorry to say. Drummers are, by the way, the best people in the world, we NEVER gas people (that´s the fucking fluteplayers and fiddlers - better beware next time you visit your local folk musicfestival...) Back to the garage I would say. Sorry guys.

I've never noticed farting after the ban on smoking. But loads of places smell like sweat & urine now... guess I'll have to eat loads of beans before the danko gig tomorrow.

Yeah do that - you can´t allow Stockholm to be the worst, can you? I personally prefer the ashtray smell than the new ones, even though I quit smoking a while back. Had to pick that up on the Stockholm gig though, just to have en excuse to go outdoors :-)

Man you guys are real hard asses over in Stockholm. Can't just go to a show and like it ? You know if pull at all those strands of life the whole tapestry falls apart and then there's nothing left to enjoy.

you could try moving away from the smell! personally i always move around a bit, avoiding the boys with bad BO and try to find some people with georgeous pheremones to stand next to,(even better if this place just happens to be right at the front practically pressed against the monitors.....mmmmm feel the bass!)

parkdale: sure, I enjoyed it, but I also listen to the music and watch the band play and if you do that you'll notice stuff. the reason I am talking about this is because one of the best things with danko jones was that they were such a crushing unit with damon. it has changed now, but i'll hope it'll better soon. but I'll tell you, there's not many drummers as damon around. he is unique.

But I think the need for rehearseing before the tour was immensely underestimated. I was really moved by this comment. Like Danko just sits around and eats Cheetos when they are not on the road. I work for alot of bands and not one of them works harder then this band.

Thats´not what I said. I didn´t say I didn´t enjoy it either. No disrespect, but no idolizing or worshipping either.

About Dan, I think he did a GREAT job! I heard in an interview that he only got a few rehearsals before the tour, so..... Of course , I don't know how he played the first few shows, but he kicked ass in Holland!!!
