A friend told me there was a secret show at Horseshoe Tavern, Toronto (29.6.07) and that they played some new songs -He was there because he just wanted to see some free music.. and then they were on stage.. but how come that really nobody knew about it? (I know it's a SECRET show.. ) I was pretty sad in time I heard they played because I was in Toronto that day... so Maybe we could post some shows here in time we know there is one?! or Danko could be so nice..

If Danko and co. were just there for some free music, they might not have known ahead of time they were doing a secret show! But who knows?
How bout the great news that they're hitting the studio in August?

How bout the great news that they're hitting the studio in August? Yeah, that's the best news i've heard in a long time, i hope they get it done and released with no hitches, and quicky ;D.We're all Danko starved, we need a fix of that rock shit hot stuff, gaad....quick Danko spotting note, last Sunday on the Spike TV Awards, they went blasting to one of their commercial breaks with "Natural Tan"blaring in the background. Musical guests for the show were non other than ZZ-Top and Styx, well ZZ-Top were great Cheers!!

Ok gang here's the scoop: Yes, we did play a show at the Horseshoe (and The Drake) but it was just rehearsal for the week of California dates. There were no new songs played, trust me. We needed a low-key situation, with no pressure to go in and just run through the tunes. We've been writing and chilling for 6 months so we naturally needed a run-through.
Having said that the California dates went great. We played with The Lords Of Altamont and had a blast.
Danko

Maybe you can let some of the hardcore fans know, although I know you were trying to keep it low-key

Yeah next time let me know, I will teleport. I'm very much looking forward to the new album. Seems like every band I love is either recording or releasing this year. (On this note: Tidy, how about that new QOTSA, huh? I'm lovin' it!) Either way, I wouldn't feel too bad about missing a rehearsal show. They'll come back to Europe in 2008 with a new show and new songs. Danko knows I want him back by January 1st so I'm sure he'll comply.

i'm a little disapointed by the fact that QOTSA released a song on the new album that was released already on the deseret sessions. It would have been nice to hear something a different track

How y'all been? Been a long, long time since I happened upon here. Believe me, it's been a long time since pretty much anything[/] happened upon here.
Guess everybody's just busy living their every day lives, studying and/or getting the bills paid; same goes for me. Hope to finally get my driver's license soon as well.
The board usually tends to get quiet when there aren't much gigs. I don't know about you guys, but I got a major Danko itch. The iPod Danko play rate is rising.
*drools* I need that new album...

I like the new Queens record too, Loes.
The song "Make It Wit Chu" is the Desert Sessions graduate this time. Honestly though, that song was too good to be left on a side project record that nobody hears.

I'll be leaving our little hamlet for the bright lights of the big city next week July 23-30th...er Hamilton, close enough to T-Dot i suppose, so if anyone hears of any secret Danko gigs going down, please tell me on the QT...OK I suspect they'll be in California, but ya never know. At my age, i need at least one more Danko injection to keep me alive and maybe, just maybe...on fire ;D

lol, ;D i hear you Rocky... it's okay for all these young hotties round here; they can say 'roll on 2008' like it's just another year, they'll still be young and hot ;.) i find it too scary to mentally fastforward to 2008 ,the years are going by a bit too fast now and there's still so much i want to do....can't i have a Danko boost too in the meantime without waiting till i'm yet another year older? but i think you'll be okay, most people seem to accept seeing some cool older dudes at a gig.....whereas, by the looks i get in some places (and by the tone of most rock mags) anybody would think it was a crime for a woman over 30 to set foot in a rock gig
