Hey all... So me and my girlfriend are travelling to Wales, London and Paris next week.. I was just wondering whats going on over there, what types of things people would recommend, that type of stuff... I'd love to meet up with some Euro Danko fans too, if anyone is close to Newtown, Chester, maybe Cardiff, London or Paris too... I'm willing to bring over some Canadiana stuff too as a goodwill gesture lol, just ask and I'll see what I can do on a limited budget and very limited time!

Cool! What places have you been to in the UK so far, if any? It sounds like you've got something planned around a stay in NE Wales or just over the border into NW England, and you're thinking of maybe fitting in a visit to Cardiff before heading off to London, then Paris. Am I right? Nathan...you haven't noticed Cardiff as my location under my avatar so far? lloll! Not to mention the way I keep banging on about wanting D'Jo to play here! Well, I like to travel around the UK for gigs etc, when I can, and always on a tight budget. So I've sussed out some cheap ways to travel, best cheap places to stay in London etc. And I can definately give you what you need to know regarding the 'Diff (best rock nights, pubs, things to see, etc.) So ask away!

LOL ok ya I'll admit it, I knew some people were over there... I've never been overseas, the only place outside of Canada that I've really been is Mexico... (good old mexico... mmmmmmmm all inclusive resorts....), so I'm REALLY excited about going. Canada is alright, but we don't have the same history that Europe seems to have, so I'm excited to check out all the old buildings over there and stuff. We've already booked in a night at Ministry of Sound, cuse I'm a huge fan of electronica too, but I'd love to know about other rock nights and pubs... any MUST SEES over there? I really have no clue... my girlfriend has been but only for some school, this is our first "fun" trip over. We're thinking about Cardiff... It kinda depends about our hotels and stuff. If we have a spare night we were thinking about going down but so far its looking like we're going to the NE ya... And hey, at least you get an opening gig from DJ for the Motorhead show! Are you going?

NO FREAKING WAY! I have to get a pic in front of it at the very least... I am trying to go for the more traditional british pubs, but that is one of the more awesome things I've seen today... do you know the address?

Thanks! I think I've heard about The George while looking up bars in London... Thats what I've been doing while my girlfriend is looking up all these historical places.. I'll try to check them out and take as many pics as possible. We leave tomorrow at 745 pm Edmonton time. Thanks for all the help! If you think of anything else, I'd appriciate if you'd pass it along still... I'll probably check the board at least a few times

nice. I've always found that story interesting... We're doing Stonehenge in the evening, and we get to go into the inner circle which is pretty sweet. You sound like you've been a few times... Have you been overseas often?

Hey, made it back home, no thanks to Air France, who delayed us too long in Paris, so we missed the flight home to Edmonton... Didn't get a chance to go see Cardiff saddly, but spent a GREAT few nights with my girlfriends relatives... one of them owns a local pub, so we had a great few nights there. Didn't get to see the Maple Leaf, but I did manage to find a Tim Hortons near Picadilly!
