A friend got me into reading the teachings of one of the highest zen masters (in my opinion) Osho. I was on the site today, and they have these little daily fortune cards on there, and the card I got for the day got me thinking. I got the card of individuality. It states: "Society cannot tolerate individuality, because individuality will not follow like a sheep. Individuality has the quality of the lion; the lion moves alone. The sheep are always in the crowd, hoping that being in the crowd will feel cozy. Being in the crowd one feels more protected, secure. If somebody attacks, there is every possibility in a crowd to save yourself. But alone? - only the lions move alone.
Everyone of you is born a lion, but the society goes on conditioning you, programming your mind as a sheep. It gives you a personality, a cozy personality, nice, very convenient, very obedient. Society wants slaves, not people who are absolutely dedicated to freedom. Society wants slaves because all the vested interests want obedience." - Osho.com
Coincidental to say the least, don't u think???

The unique Danko Jones lyrics and and hard driving pulsating styling make them so different and so enjoyable. They are in a league of their own, nobody else can match up.

Tis true. I'm sure they'd dig the subconscious zen message behind the album name though.
"I was born a lion, baptised in sweat, I walk alone..."
"There might be a million other people that try to do what I do, but I'm the only one who knows what to do" ~Danko Jones~
