i've been searching for Danko singles recently ( 'cos there's various tracks on some that i really want) and not having much success...but i did find some playlists and a couple of them mentioned a song i've never heard of before....DANKO/CLEAVAGE, 'Bored And Gorgeous' YUMMMMM  intriguing title... so i did a search on it but couldn't find it on sale or available to download anywhere.anybody know where this song is from? looks like it could be a collaboration or a bootleg/mash up track. i want it! I WANT IT ! ;D |

Sorry bronwen but we've never written a song called "Bored And Gorgeous".
Cleavage were a very short lived average Toronto band that spawned Rock Star Supernova singer, Lukas Rossi. We never played with them and I've only met Rossi once (too much ego for one person to take).

there are a few out there,Philthy, though i've noticed some are songs we all know and love that some plank has just gone and listed with the wrong title  (...i've seen 'bounce' listed as 'take it all off'.)besides, all Danko singles are rarities to me ('cos no record shops seem to stock them over here.plus websites are a bit hit or miss when it comes to availability or shipping to the UK)so forgive me if i come across a little geeky,but i get excited about finding Danko stuff i haven't heard yet  . |

and umm, oh dear,sorry 'bout that Danko, i'm not that savvy about the band's early days or the whole Toronto scene,( just trying to fill in the blanks.) thanks for letting me know,you've saved me from one fruitless pursuit there at least! what's worse, either some cheeky bootleg where someone's murdered a great Danko Jones song by mashing it up with that supernova prat's vocals ( SUE them Danko!)....or..... oh the horror,some cloth-eared twit got hold of a cleavage track but thought 'dunno, might be Danko Jones,better list it under both names'  ) shame really,the title sounded f'kin cool, thought it might be about some GORGEOUS swedish honey who's BORED with all the guys around her, and Danko's singing about how he can't wait to, ahem, alleviate her boredom  , rev up the engine of her lovebike,  drive all night  :-*etc etc ;D |

oooh, some nice stuff on that site...the ones i wanted were way out of my budget though, especially as i'd have to pay for shipping, currency conversion etc. was quite surprised at the cost of getting hold of some of the promo singles. i've unearthed a few Danko promo's( in the boxes of stuff we get from radio stations) in my shop.when my colleagues hear a whoop of delight coming from me in the back room they just shout 'she's found another Danko Jones single!' ;D. they only cost me 75 pence each too! still, i know i've got no chance of stumbling upon anything like the gun girl ep or any other early stuff (pre Bad Taste signing) 'cos it wouldn't have been promoted here.

oh and i hadn't heard the Raconteurs cover of ' samuel sin' until last night. i've googled for it intensively and haven't found it so far...but last night after i'd installed an update for firefox, i took a look at the foxytunes add-on. i did a search for Danko Jones on it and it came up with lots of content. in the audio track section i scrolled through and stumbled upon the Raconteurs version! ;D i really like it..they've done their own very distinctive take on the song. lot's of wailing guitars and unhinged vocals! if you use firefox as your browser and haven't heard it yet, now's your chance! |

Wow ! I cant believe it took me this long to find fellow Danko freaks and I am ecstatic beyond words.. it is my pleasure and honor to be amongst such like minded music freaks coz everyone knows, DANKO ROXX !!! I was wondering Grinch; I tried to go to that link for the bootleg from Chicago and it said it had expired.. is there anyway of sending me a fresh copy.. also, i stumbled across a bunch of Danko tracks on Projectplaylist.com and the Raconteurs song Samuel Sin is on there ... any other rare tracks and stuff, hook a bruvva up.. i will be online and in touch everyday during the week coz i cant get enough of the greatness of the Jones... thanks again..peace..
