Hey gang, it's an honour to meet you all this way. I was just told about Danko Jones (less than a week ago) I heard Lovercall and Forget My Name for the first time (maybe 6 days ago). Since then, the band I was trying out for, had me study Forget My Name... I couldn't stop listening to it~ I must have listened to it about 19 times a day on my headphones LOUDLY though I did screw up a couple lines the try-out, pretty much the rest came out really friggin' groovy! Though I am just getting to know more of Danko Jones' music, I'll have more thoughts about other songs and maybe even one day get to see the entire band live. In the meantime, I would like to know if there is some sorta e-mail account to send the MP3 of the cover version, I am sure DJ would appreciate a new fan showing some spiffy support this way, I can say I am proud of what I had achieved in the cover version. if you'd all like to know more about myself, check out myspace.com/strugglinsinger

Dude...welcome to the club. You're stuck now tho just so ya know. The more you listen to Danko Jones, the harder it gets to listen to anything else. Most other music just sounds so empty and testosterone-less after a while. Either way, I can't help you with the email account thing to post the mp3. You could upload it as a torrent, or on megaupload.com and I'm sure they'll be able to get it. Just make sure you post a new thread on this site saying what you've done and add the link. Danko covers are freaking fun too. I play piano and do some Danko songs shmaltzy weak for fun sometimes and I half-taught myself to play bass just so I could play "Mountain". Welcome to the site, welcome as a fan, and I'm sorry that all other music is going to suck a little from now on. Rawk, DJFL

I am gonna try to have the MP3 set up at either my own Myspace page or I'll open a separate one, but the version will be pretty cool hearing, it's a nice clear version; yeah I screwed up a few lines, but came back fine enough (being I only heard the song a few days before recording it).
Thank You kindly for the welcome to the forum, I have browsed over a few of the threads and everyone just seems down to earth, do you have a copy of your version of the Danko Jones track?

The more you listen to Danko Jones, the harder it gets to listen to anything else. Tis true, there's no turning back. You started off well with Forget My Name, it's a great song, but make sure to check the rest of the songs and albums as well. There's lots more where that came from. And ofcourse welcome to the family. We're nuts but in a good way.

I have been listening and turning on other co-workers to Danko Jones, I haven't come across any tracks that shy me away, I just have to get to know the songs a little bit more... as for the version of "Forget My Name" that I said I had attempted recently, I have added it to my Myspace page finally if anyone has time to check it out, it is in my audio player on the right side of the page at the top it will be one of the 6 tracks (with my vocals on each of the songs) I also mentioned that it was my FIRST night attempting this song and the version I added was the 3rd take on it... you'll notice a few little screw-ups, but it will be clear enough to enjoy for your ears... Please don't Gong Me too quickly... the myspace where the file is located, is at www.myspace.com/strugglinsinger
