Long-time lurker (and lazy typer) finally registers to say that it seems the NTL digi will include not one, but two bonus tracks -- "You Ruin The Day" and "Sugar High." (So says Amazon.de, anyway.)
I wasn't floored with the two leftovers from the SITE sessions ("Sex" and "Choose Me"), but the bonuses from both WSB ("Woogie Boogie") and BAL ("The Rules" and "My Time Is Now") are three of my all-time Danko favorites, so here's hoping the new tunes are keepers as well. Hell, even if they're not, Amazon is currently selling the limited edition for the same price as the regular version, so what's to lose?

Nice bit of digging, Truth. I totally agree on the We Sweat Blood and Born A Lion extras. They're awesome.

Still never herard "Sex". I think it's the only Danko track I haven't heard.

I bought the limited edition version yesterday because I wanted to hear the bonus tracks. It almost sounds that they've done a mistake with it, since You Ruin The Day plays much quieter than the rest of the record. Almost like it isn't mastered at all.

You Ruin The Day plays much quieter than the rest of the record. After playing the new record WAY to loud on your sound system, You Ruined The Speakers should be more fitting..

So these, as well as one other song ("R.I.P. R.F.T.C.") are available on iTunes Sweden...I'm happy to pay the 9 Kr (approx. $1.50) each by PayPal to anyone who living there who'd be kind enough to buy 'em for me...

It really is realllllllyyyyyy much quieter than the rest of the record, especially when Sugar High kicks in afterwards.

I must say that "Sugar High" is THE best song on the album! Vic Florencia's production is so much better. And I don't mean that because it's louder, but because that song have that patented Danko Jones groove that was all over "Born A Lion", which lacks on the rest of the album. Maybe it's because it was recorded in Toronto or maybe it's really the old tune, "from the vaults". I guess it's not, but they sure did hit the sweet spot with this one. Does anybody knows something more about this song or about these Toronto sessions?

Also, I don't know if anybody else noticed this, but when I listen to "Sugar High", the drumming reminds me sooo much of Damons style of playing. I loved very much his playing on the older albums. I know he's not the original drummer, but IMHO he was perfect for the Danko Jones music, he always played exactly what was best for the song, not more, not less. Dan is great too, but Damon was something else. At least in my opinion...
Anybody else have this feeling too?

Sugar High is a solid bonus track...the drumming certainly is reminiscent of Damon and the riff sounds like its could have fit onto Born A Lion nicely.

I usually reserve my comments here but the drumming on Sugar High is all Dan Cornelius. He's the man.

Indeed its the cowbell that does the trick with the drumming sound on Sugar High, I like it hopefully Dan can do more with it live :-)

The played Sugar High live at the Horseshoe gig and it sounds awesome, they should definitely keep playing it.
