Kay. I am a fashion whore in my own right. And I know "stylin" is not a necessary part of a music worshipping fan board. But I love style and feel the need to blather on about it. Now... what I want to talk about is...is it just me or is everyone just so bloody hip these days? Is there any style that isn't kewl? I'm starting to feel like I could walk down the street in a tutu and people would be like "wow she is such a revolutionary." Where do we draw the line on what is chic and what is crap? And when we find "chic" why do we have to beat it until it's dead?

crap is the new chic
Style is up to you - if you like what you wear then who gives a fuck. Of course if a lot of people don't like what you wear then expect to get made fun of. ;D

If I had more money I would try to dress cooler. I feel like I'm not quite as cool as I'd like to be.

So you have the look, but Thin Lizzy and T Rex aren't rockabilly. You need to start listening to some Hellbilly's or something.

red turtleneck..whaat? Lol Ya now when I'm reading my own post, it's kind of lame. I think people should be who they are, wear what you want. I think it's just that I get tired sometimes of not seeing too much of an individual sense of style anymore. The thread really stemmed from me walking in downtown toronto. There's this store downtown that I really like. But when I was in there, I just looked around at all the "hip & trendy" people. Now this store is pretty pricey, but it has a lot of second hand things that have been revamped into new things. It's like goodwill items for designer prices. And I just thought "You could sell anything to anyone if it's hip". "Here buy this used toilet paper roll for $20 - it's all the rage." Ya know? And most of us would probably buy that toilet paper roll. I think I'm getting old, because I'm complaining more than usual...lol..

We live in a material world and I'm a material girl...wait I got sidetracked there. ;D
You're always gonna have the people that are suckers who will buy whatever is the new trend. If I ever open a clothing store I will cater to these suckers because they are the consumers shelling out the dough!

I don't have any style that can be classified under a certain known style. But I do try to dress to the occasion. Usually I am dressed neatly but casually, although I had my time of extremely long sideburns....
But hey, we were young and not so innocent.
