I'm about to travel to the US tomorrow for a holiday. So see ya when I get back (or in between, depending on if I get an internet connection up and running on my laptop)
Cya in a month.

Chicago rocks! Loads of cool shops and too much walking. (blisters on my feet) Going to the Field museum today. I was there yesterday morning but the weather was so good that we decided to go to the Sears tower instead.

I'm not going to post my complete travellog as I can't be arsed as of yet and 2, I'm still in the US at this time. Listening to Mindless Self Indulgence. A band I discovered a few years ago via an old friend from the US. The music can't be described. Just check em out. Anyway, while browsing the mall (and spending WAY too much money on clothing, damn yanks with their cheap clothing prices) I spotted a cool store called Hot Topic (www.hottopic.com) and bought a shirt of MSI. And I just had to post a pic of it. Anyway, back to my travels. After Chicago I travelled with Chazz and Hester (my travel companions) to Las Vegas. Which, if you have never been there is somewhat of a shock. During the day it's impressive with the HUGE casino's, but at night they light up and it becomes a whole new world. Needless to say, Vegas ain't my town. I will return to it some day, but just to see if for a day or 2 and on my way to other more interesting places. After Vegas we drove towards Joshua Tree to see that park, then to Escondido to meet an old friend of mine. Aftyer that LA/Hollywood. Boring except for the Universal Studios park and its backlot tour, which was VERY interesting. Afterwards we went to the taping of According to Jim, with Jim Belushi. And I got my little book with the episode synopsis signed by Jim Belushi. We also met up with the actor we played Lurch in the Addams Family movies. He's Dutch and a friend of Chazz. So we spent the afternoon hanging out with him. Very laid back guy and a damn good photographer. Then we decided that we wouldn't mind seeing the Grand Canyon in Arizona. So, after a LONG drive (and several stops) we got to that big hole in the ground. After that, Bryce Canyon. Way prettier than Grand Canyon, more nature and the hole looks more interesting. After Bryce Canyon, on towards Yosemite Park. GREAT park and a place that I'm going to spend more time in next time. Saw the giant Sequoia trees and saw some deer. Today we are in Modesto, spending our money on clothes. Found an awesome shirt for Loes. Tomorrow we head on to Stockton and the day after Sacramento. Then San Francisco for our last few days in the US. I'll post my triplog when I'm back in Holland and back on Dutch time. Ron

Yeah, loved that canyon picture as well. Think it deserves a nice spot in our house somewhere, maybe the bedroom? And speaking of bedrooms, I really, REALLY can't wait till Ron's back. ;D Just one more week...

GO TO VEGAS!!!!!!! haha, seriously though.. Have a great trip - sounds like you're having fun! Vegas... Vegas sucks. If I ever go back I'll just go for a day or 2, no more. Hated it during the day. And if you don't like to gamble or spend insane amounts of money, then Vegas sucks. R.
