Ya know what? I'd love to see a bunch of 13 yr old kids at the show! I'd love to think there are 13 yr old kids that listen to Danko Jones. Sometimes the crowds in T-dot seem a little...er..long in the tooth. An injection of youthful energy would be cool, I think.
But I don't think you need to worry spun, the kids are probably saving their allowance money for the next Used or Rise Above show or something.

Ya know what? I'd love to see a bunch of 13 yr old kids at the show! Hmm, would u now, Tidy? Loud...talk to your man. But seriously, come on, it's detrimental to my self esteem...15 yr olds walking around taller than me...12 year olds with better bodies...I'll start crying ;D. Spike mine too Parkdale...I'll need it. Speaking of which...will there be a licensed area?

Leftover Easter candy? Save some for me too, Mango.
MK is probably right. All ages doesn't usually mean it's a dry event.

Well, this sucks. If the show were a week earlier, I'd be there. Unfortunately, by the time May 6th rolls around, I'll have already left southern Ontario for Halifax, as I'm going home until I figure out what the hell I'm going to do with myself since school and I are through. I hope you all enjoy the show.

Danko has many "underage" fans. I get email all the time asking for all ages show. They're hard to swing, however, which is why they don't happen so often.

I'll be there and I can't fucking wait. It'll be nice to see a Toronto Danko show somewhere other than Lee's Palace. Not that I dislike Lee's but a change of scenery will be nice.
You know, I've seen close to a hundred club and arena shows in my life, mostly in the Toronto area, but I've never been to a show at The Opera House. How is it anyway?

The worst place to see a show, hands down. The stage is so low that unless you're right up front, you can't see much. Not that you shouldn't go to the front, but for the majority of the venue on the main level, you won't see half of what you see at Lee's (which is 10,000x better than the Opera House).

Damn, that sucks to hear. Thanks for the info, though. I won't get there early enough to be up front but I'm 6'3 so maybe that'll help. Oh, how's the sound there?

The sound is good enough, but overall, the low stage hurts it overall. I've heard repeatedly from friends who go to tonnes of shows (and I'm one of them) that the Opera House is universally regarded as behind the rest of the clubs out there. Add in parking is typically a total gong show too and the end of town it's at and you've got a bad spot generally.

Oh goody. So I paid more, to hang out with younger people in a crappier venue woo hoooo. I've only been to the opera house once and it was for comedy, so I couldnt really remember. Excuse me, I have to go make my sign for my hitchiking trip to NYC.
