One of the bands Danko profiled on the last episode of MWOR was Death From Above. According to thier website www.deathfromabove.ca, they are on the Lee's Palace bill with Danko Jones and The Bronx. I think the Bronx are a U.S. band. That makes this the first area DJ show in a long time that won't include the Illuminati. But fear not, Death From Above won't dissapoint.

Ian Blurton, also of Blurtonia and Bionic. He is the lord of Canadian indie-rock.
I heard a C'mon song on the radio the other day and it was good. Can't wait for the album this spring.

The Bronx is no longer on the bill. The openers are C'mon and Death From Above. I move to name the show "Canadian bands that don't suck."
Also the one dude from DFA related a story about Danko Jones from back in the day. Fact or fiction? You decide:
i remember when danko jones was in a band called horshack and they opened for indian summer. also, he did this thing for awhile called 'the great entertainer' where he would come out at punk shows and sing father figure by george micheal wearing all pink. it was really great entertainment.
