Still coming along. Some of you might have noticed the site down today as I was
testing some stuff. Again, I'll send an email out when it launches.
IN OTHER MUSIC
================
This issue of the DJML goes out to Canada's Bob Wiseman. For those of you that
don't know BW, he's been around for ages. He plays a mean piano, a pretty good
guitar, writes fantastic lyrics, and has played with everyone from Blue Rodeo
to Slutarded. He's worked with Edie Brickell, Ron Sexsmith, and Dale
Morningstar. He used to be called "the next Bob Dylan" till the media found
someone else (that week) to crown.
When Prince changed his name to a symbol, Bob changed his name to Prince--or
tried to (see his site for articles).
If a better love song has been written than "The Disappearing Trick," I've
never heard it. If a song has ever been as sad and beautiful as "Me An Arrow,"
please let me know.
Last year I participated in a writing marathon and asked my favorite artists to
donate music that I would give away during the event. Bob came through with the
amazing (and still unreleased!) "3 Men". (Thanks again, Bob!)
He's one of my favorite artists and I never tire of listening to him. Check out
