Sometimes when i am feeling a little blue i know that i must pick myself up, be positive. One thing i can do is read some inspiring thoughts from a motivator, his name is Ralph Marston, here is one of my favourites from him: ................................................................................... Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you'll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you'll find that you have more of it. Ralph Marston

I love that type of stuff. It's funny how simple words can really change your life so much. I like reading from zen masters. One of my favourites is Osho. "Each moment brings a new breeze and a new sun. You go on changing. Such is the vastness of a human being. It is tremendous, it has no boundaries. You cannot label it, and the effort to label is wrong, ugly." -OSHO- www.osho.com

Well my personal motivator is obviouly jc's bass, it talks to me but not in words, in rocking vibration, they really put a smile on my face! and you know...if he ever wants to travell all over my body, that's allright
anyhow if I have to think of a sentence motivating me I would say:
"Hasta la vista baby" terminator

Here are more quotes from osho that stick with me:
"Being respected by idiots, you have to behave according to their manners, their expectations. To be respected by this sick humanity, you have to be sicker than they are. They will respect you, but what will you gain? You will lose your soul and gain nothing."
"Millions of people have lived on this earth, and we don't even know their names. Accept the simple fact - you are here for only a few days and then u will b gone. These few days are not to be wasted in hypocrisy and fear. These days have to be rejoiced."
and my fav of all time: "Even authentic anger is better than a pretended smile, because at least it's authentic. True anger is beautiful and a false smile is ugly; and true hate has its own beauty just like true love, because beauty is concerned with truth. It is neither concerned with hate nor with love, beauty is of the true. Truth is beautiful in whatsoever form it takes." -OSHO-

I want to revive this thread...maybe it will revive the board a bit. Heres a couple quotes for today: "Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned." - Buddha
"I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge -- myth is more potent than history -- dreams are more powerful than facts -- hope always triumphs over experience -- laughter is the cure for grief -- love is stronger than death." - Robert Fulghum
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. - Albert Einstein
Failure is only the opportunity to begin again, this time more wisely. - unknown
Love is the place where heaven and hell co-exist - ?(a thousand paths to love)

Osho himself (if you are refering to the Indian dude) wasn't exactly a clean guy. I've been reading up and found his group of followers to be more of an insane cult than actually followers. His teachings might be enlightened, part of his following are a bunch of nuts.
He does make some good quotes, that's for sure. I like all of the ones given here.

Yes the sad thing with power of any kind beast is the human nature of oversaturating yourself on your own ego and falling into madness sometimes. Or being crazy to begin with I guess. As is the case with osho. He started making up his own rules. Kind of sad to find that out...when I started reading his works, I really identified with his ideas...but the more I read about him, the more disgusted I became with him as a person. Much like most spiritual "leaders" I read about. Theres a good documentary on some of them though called "In the name of god" I believe it is. I still refuse to give up completely on humans as spiritual beings though and still find words inspiring somehow .
