So AC/DC made a new album, which is great and they're going to do a massive world tour, which is even better. Mojo (Dutch concert promoting agency) and Ticketmaster deceided that the tickets for the Dutch AC/DC gig in Rotterdam could only be bought online (you could only buy 1 or 2 tickets), to fight the black market tickets. Tickets went onsale @ 10 AM this morning and it seemed that almost everyone in Holland (me including) tried to buy tickets for this gig..So one would end up in an online waiting line which never seemed to end or would get page errors...I gave up after 1,5 hours (I planned to go to the gym @ 11.30), I didn't want my free Saturday to be ruined. There are more things in life than waiting in a fucking ONLINE waiting line, for a 60 euro (= $ 80) (!) ticket. At the end of the day, auction sites are being filled with (VERY expensive)................AC/DC tickets............. So what's the most logical thing to do on a day like this? BUYING A TICKET FOR THE DANKO JONES GIG IN HAARLEM! WHOOOHOOOOO! ;D (don't worry, I was planning to buy that ticket anyway.. ) But seriously, is this the way to buy tickets for large gigs in the future? Count me out then!

Oh dear, Philthy, that sounds like trying to get a ticket for Glastonbury or Reading fesivals in the UK! Some of my mates were lucky enough to score tickets for AC/DC in the UK before they sold out. There's talk of more dates being announced, so the rest of us will have to wait. Some couldn't get cash in time again after buying other tickets. October to December is usually a busy period for gigs in the UK, but this year it's gone crazy. So many long-awaited tours have arrived or are being announced... not just AC/DC but the Hard Rock Hell festival in north Wales, Slayer, Airbourne, Judas Priest, Testament and Megadeth! Motorhead seem to be not getting much of a look in at the moment due to people's lack of funds. I'm still trying to pursuade mates to come just to see Danko. Maybe JC should think about getting DJo on AC/DC's support slot!

same here Philthy
there is a couple of dates in Paris and both were sold out in 5 mn!...I didn't get any tickets.I'd love to see them again considering it could be the swan song (I hope not, but...) AND because they still rock...
there is a new arene date added as well (Stade De France) but I definitly won't go. I experienced the crappy sound and screen watching on the stiff upper lip tour...

Wow, a stadium sellout in 5 mins... well, I also saw that they're going to play in the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen and maybe I'll go to that one, being a supporter of Schalke 04. Ticket prices for the A'dam show were outrageous, between 69 en 61 euros, administration fees not included! The Amsterdam Arena is also well known for it's shitty sound, so 69 euros is a feckin joke!

Tickets for Wembley on sale 17th December? A week before Christmas! What 'bright spark' came up with that idea? Obviously some rich git who hasn't been watching the news. They haven't noticed that banks and companies are collapsing, or that lots of people face getting laid off, or that VAT has been lowered just to get people doing a bit of Christmas shopping. As if most of us are going to have enough money left in the bank on that day ... the tour promoters are living in lala land. Not Clear Channel by any chance, is it?

I missed out on both AC/DC and Metallica due to the screwups at ticketsales. I liked the old way of actually WAITING IN LINE!

I got 5 tickets to the Amsterdam Arena show of AC/DC, 69,- euro's, excluding 6,- euro's servicefee. Maybe the sound may not be the best, I have faith in the soundengineers of accadacca. Saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers there once before, was just in front of the stage and nothing wrong with the sound there. Just make sure I get to Amsterdam on time on the 23rd of June. Looking forward to seeing the old geezers. philthy - I had the same problems for the Ahoy gig of AC/DC, even wrote a complaint to ticketservice but have never gotten any reply.
