It has also been posted on the official site now. Too bad the youtube clip has been removed due to copyright reasons.. Edit: and now I saw your edit of the original post. Sounds pretty cool! Quite brave choosing a so little "commercial" song for your semifinal contribution. He definitively deserves to win!

awesome! thanks a lot. How'd he end up doing on the show? He got through to the finals (or something like that, I'm not really into Idols).

That's pretty cool and funny at the same time! So I guess he's the token 'oddball' contestant these contests usually have then. They're either the hilariously OTT cheesy Chico or Darius types, or they're the sexy/ quirky/ edgy/ rock'n'roll ones with talent, like this guy. I like him...he seems sort of sweet and funny and likes doing things with a little tongue in cheek, plus he has that yummy metrosexual, skinny jeaned, sexy eyes and hair thing going on . He has a good r'n'r voice, great stage charisma and an off the wall approach to musical arrangements. The rock star schtick combined with banjo had enough WTF factor to leave a big grin on my face...looks like it had the same effect on the judges! He's like the finnish rock answer to Rhyddian! ;D I usually only watch these contests when they have great 'oddballs'. They're the ones that have the audiences glued to the series and have eveyone rooting for them because they're so entertaining. They don't usually win though., The viewers that really like their maverick qualities don't often bother to vote for them...they either think they're a dead-cert to win anyway so one more vote won't make much difference, or (just like me) they couldn't give a stuff about who actually wins . Anyway, if they win the contest and pop contract they'll probably end up battling with the record company and getting dropped. The more creative contestants like Pete are better off coming runner-up and going out in a blaze of notoriety . They will have been noticed by the right people, and will probably go on to sign with a label who'll let them do their own thing.

ya, I hear hzzi, I'm not a big fan of Idol thingys either, but that guy seemed cool enough... Funny comment: I've been to a show where Danko was making fun of one of the finalists off of the Canadian Idol show that we have here... It was a day long concert kinda thing (didn't seem big enough to call it a festival...) Wasn't for being on the show, but for his style of music. Funny stuff.
