Just what the title says...Please don't take this board offline. People I like still post here sometimes, some who haven't warmed to the new forum. I've posted on both, and did a stint as moderator on the new one; so I'm not anti the idea of people using the new one at all.
There's just such a lot of good old threads on here that some of us still like to read; lots of reviews, tour memories, banter etc. It's like a diary by the fans (me included.)
So much reference material for fans here...for new fans too.

Just when I get to borrow a laptop for work after having no home internet access since April. Scanner/ printer waiting to be set up and inks/paper on order.... was looking forward to bumping the style forum.

And proboards are so user friendly, and not such spam magnets either. I've had so many problems with the new forum (moderating)...over half a year we've had several hundred spambots, some very nasty stuff, and a few other odd things going on.

This place has only had one manual spammer from China selling handbags under 3 different user names in all that time ( I've been looking in from my mobile phone once a day or so, to look out for new stuff.)

I'd much rather look after this place!

Thanks bronwen for your wonderful support. . This board went online April 29th, 2003, soon to be 7 years in existence. I can assure you that we plan to keep it alive forever, or as long as possible. We are at the mercy of proboards should they ever go out of business, or decide to pull us off their network for a violation of some sort. Otherwise, there is only one member (not me) who has the admin authority to delete the board, its someone who cares, We're safe... Enjoy

I've just got back online at home too. How have you been? Did you move home/ go travelling/ lose your internet?
There's still a lot of visitors on here each day, I've noticed. I think some people are being a bit shy about logging in and posting .

Thanks Rocky, that's a relief to know. I'd gone to dankojones.net and clicked on message board, thought it had gone because I got redirected to the official forum instead . I had to google this place to find it again.
But now I've found the link here and though it makes it harder for people to find, I'm just glad it's still here!
