Some Rock icons, like for instance Henry Rollins and Marky Ramone , seem to have also another performancequality. They can capture an audience with words, telling them about the good and the bad days of Sex, Drugs & Rock 'n'Roll or their political view or an overall look on the bright side of life, or whatever. It seems as if "The Mango Kid", "The Ayathollah Of Rock And Rolla","The Toronto Tiger" a.k.a. DANKO JONES revealed his other talent just recently. He told HIS stories during a first (secret) Spoken Word Show in Malmö, Sweden. Maybe that would be a good idea for the forthcoming Tours; Damon and JC doing drums- or bass clinics and Danko doing his Spoken Word kind of things one night and the Toronto Threesome do their "Rockbattle Blitzkrieg" the other night.

I'd pay to see a Danko Jones spoken word performance. And not just because I like his music.

This was in BTR site:
A historic night at KB
Last night truly was a night to remember, when Danko Jones performed his first ever spoken word show at Vinylbaren/KB in Malmö (Sweden)!
It was a secret gig at a small bar and only a few dozen friends had been told that this was going down... The crowd consisted of these people along with another 10-12 people who were fortunate enough to be at the right place at the exact right time!
Telling stories about his first trip to Lund, meeting up with Ronnie James Dio, working at an Ozzy Osbourne signing session in Toronto and the music business in general Danko quickly got everyone's attention! And everyone loved it!! Except maybe for one guy who was pissed off because he thought Danko was talking shit about Ozzy (when he was in fact doing quite the opposite...)
Anyway, it was an incredible night and I think it's safe to say that Danko will be doing a lot more spoken word appearances in a not too distant future... Check it out if you get a chance. You won’t be disappointed!
