Starting tomorrow, November 7:th, Danko Jones will have his own bi-weekly radio show on the Swedish radio station Rocket FM! Every show will have a different theme and the name of the first show is “The Top Ten Rock Singers Of All Time”. In the coming weeks we’ll be hearing such gems as “Black Flag’s My War Track For Track”, “The Big Four (East vs West Coast Thrash Metal)” and “Iron Maiden’s Powerslave Track For Track”. Tune in at 95.3 FM every other Friday at 4 PM CET (16.00) starting tomorrow or listen to the show on the internet at www.rocket.fm If you can´t listen to the show when it airs, you can also listen to it afterwards at the Rocket FM site by streaming audio. Big news! Thanks for the heads-up, milkei. Now who can tell me what time 4 pm CET is? Most of us Canadians will want to know what time EST that show is on. I suspect it's fairly early when I'm still at work and can't hear it. Drat. That means I'll have to find a site that posts a replay of the show I guess.
You Swedes are lucky! The major modern rock station in Toronto is called Edge 102.1. Even though it's Dankos home town (the one he paid tribute to in Caramel City) they would probably never air a show like this. Not enough people would care! It's little wonder Danko likes to say "We're from Canada, but we're a Swedish band."

I tried to listen to it but my modem is just too slow to handle it properly. (At least I think that was the problem). What I heard I liked a lot. It was interesting and Danko has a very good voice for radio. So thanks Bartek!  (Sac, I don't think you can listen to it now... until there'll be the downloads.) |

Bartez man - thank you for those links! That's a well put-together and very listenable show. Danko is a natural as a radio show host. I'm now really looking forward to show number 2 this Friday, and I hope you'll post links to that too.
Milkei, you have to give it a long while to download, but it will work. Check it out everybody, it's well worth it.

WOOOWIEEEEEEEE, I just LOVE your list mr-dango-mango-motha-fu*ka-rocka..... THE 10 BEST ROCK-SINGERS OF ALL TIME!!!!! (he actually mentions 14!!! & a lot more)  This is all about integrity... This is what all radio-shows must be about... About music & NO BULL-SHIT!!! Danko shares with us the music that he LIKES!!! A lot of people in the music-buzz, are only tellin' us the bands they don't like, and they're really paranoid about being compared with this band or that.... With Danko you can just feel it's in his VEINS..... The guy loves ROCK..... I'm so glad he mentioned Phil Lynott up there...  I just missed Paul Rodgers up there.... ;D ;D ;D But, it's Danko's list & I'm just gonna have to respect that.... Check it out people!!!!!!! He even mentioned an E-Mail adress where you can reply your comments about the show....it's just about the radio-show though....no stupid-personal questions....he's not gonna answer them...  Thanks DANKO....thank you for this valuable ROCK-history-lesson & you deserve a place up there to... |
