Two great Ontario musical talents seemed to have disappeared. The extremely talented Mr Glenn Lewis and the equally skilled Amanda Marshall both had very successful debuts to their careers but lately nada in either case. Wow, come on back, we miss you.

Well I think Glen Lewis only had the attention of the masses with his one hit wonder, and Amanda's last album probably didn't sell too well. I don't think her last album showcased her talent very well as opposed to the one before. Which is unfortunate because the gurl has pipes!

I can find out about Amanda for you. I work occasionally with her former tour guitarist of 3 years. He's a producer now for Warner Canada and I'm sure he'd know something. We do a house gig the 2nd Sunday in every month. I'll ask him the next time I see him. I like her. She has a great voice and a tough, yet sexy visual appeal. She toured the world extensively at one point. I know on one tour she opened for John Mellancamp, só she's had good international exposure. Aah, but fame is fleeting:)

As I promised, I asked about Amanda Marshall on the weekend. She has had a new album out within the past year and contrary to popular belief, that is not her voice on the Ford commercials we here 20 times a night on the hockey games. That is a Toronto jingle singer by the name of Katherine Rose. The similarity is uncanny (and undoubtedly intentional). She also does the commercial using Joplin's Take a little Piece of My Heart and sounds amazingly like Janis.

That must be the album that spun was referring to, oh well I'm sure that she will re-emerge soon, thanx for the info Kevin.... Wow I would have bet on that being Amanda on those Ford commercials, we'll keep our eye open for Katherine Rose now. ;D
