I caught a re-run of the 'teen awards' on the tube last night, it was a pretty good show, easily highlited by those tight-fittin jeans hotties, the donnas. Did these gurls take the easy way out, not a chance, no lip-sync here, they rawked live. Now that would be a kewl night of rawk, the donnas followed by the amazing Danko Jones, something for everybody.  hmmm, einy,meiny, mynie, moe |

haha, the donnas....awesome. I was in Europe 2 years ago, backpacking around and I had never heard of them. I listened to a CD at a local music store and had to buy the album, man can these chicks rock. They would be a great opening act for Danko. If that concert ever goes down, we all fly to the spot and party it up, who's in?

The Donnas are cool, and they're no new act ! They're a self-made band and you have to admire that  And any band who plays live at award / tv-shows is worthy of all my admiration, cos that's the way to go "Danko Jones + The Donnas" location : somewhere in Europe I'm in !  |

Yeah, I knew they were from the states, but had never heard of them until I was in Europe. I think some of their songs are "girl" versions of DJ. Like the song "Do you want to hit it" - good tune indeed.

Today I saw a concert of The Donnas on the TV. They are very good! I like "chick bands". Sahara Hotnights, Thee Ultra Bimboos, Satirnine, Micragirls and The Donnas rocks very much!!! |

What can I say!? Waited so long that I totally melted down when (at last) in September I saw The Donnas LIVE!  Soooo cool gig, one of the best this year. ..and about those others bands: haven't seen Sahara Hotnights LIVE yet but I like their music. Have seen Satirnine and Micragirls LIVE but I don't have any of their records so I can't say much. Seen Thee Ultra Bimboos and The Patsy Walkers so many times that I can't even remember. They ROCK! |

The Donnas are just...well...AMAZING! I have a poster of them on my wall, plus a limited edition picture disc of 'take it off' on my wall too! They rock so much, and 'spend the night' is a fantastic album. I've seen them live at the leeds festival a few years ago, and they were great, but its a shame they had to cancel their gigs last year due to torry and her injury. Hopefully they'll come back soon and hopefully their new album they're working on is as good as 'spend the night'!
And yeah, a gig with the donnas AND danko jones wud probably be one of the best shows EVER! ;D
