Soul singer Wilson Pickett died last night at age 64.
Gonna play my stax & motown rec. tonight.Loud.
Rest In Peace Mr Pickett.
Maybe Danko & the boys will pay a tribute to the man one of these night on tour by playing "Land Of A Thousand Dances" or "Mustang Sally"...

My God i grew up listening to 'The Wicket Pickett' he was great. He was a little bit R&B with a lot of punch, sorta like the Danko Jones of the 60's....every cover band, and i mean ever cover band played 'The Midnite Hour' back then..memories, yeah, memories

All I have to say is wow, that is a huge shame. My dad got me into Wilson Pickett and we quite often jammed to many of his songs. RIP.
