So I came out of work tonight to find that my car has been broken in to. They didn't take ANYTHING from the car, nor did they try to steal it. They just broke in, tore everything out of the glove box, centre console, and cup holders and threw it around the car. They damaged the car getting in. The passenger side door. Looks like they jammed a screwdriver under the door handle to unlock the door. The paint is chipped and the door is dented where the screwdriver was shoved in. The door handle still works but it's not flush with the body anymore.
So, because it's basically a vandalism I'm going to have to pay the insurance deductable to claim it. I wish they'd broken the f__king window instead cause I have $0 deductable for glass. Probably the whole door panel will have to be painted cause the paint is chipped. Now there'll be a colour difference in the finish too. Great. I'm so pissed right now. Gotta call the insurance in the morning.
Damn, sorry to hear that PTM... Especially because they didn't take shit, it just seems so pointless. I remember about a year ago, my parents' car got stolen while they were at a wedding (!), right from the castle's parking place. It was found back in downtown Rotterdam about a week after that, absolutely total loss and with a couple of parking tickets on it. I still wonder why the ones who wrote the first few tickets weren't alarmed by the state of the car. But in this case as well, the crooks didn't take anything from the car, not even the cd player. They just used it for a fucking joyride. Just fucking great, especially because my folks aren't the type of people who can just turn their pockets out and are able to by a new a car with the loose change coming from it. They have to work their asses off for those kind of purchases! Bastard crooks...
well this totally sucks PTM, now you need to deal with even bigger vandals...those bloody insurance thieves I'm betting they were looking for loose change to buy drugs and or booze... long forgotten, and lost between the seats loonies and toonies can add up.
