From Jam music: .................................................................................. Ex-Zwan and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has started work on his first solo album, according to his official website.
"I am excited to work on this music, because for the first time in my life it will be my tunes with no compromises to anyone or anything," Corgan posted.
"It's gonna be loud and beautiful and poetic and dumb. Just the way i like it."
Zwan split less than a year after releasing their critically-acclaimed debut album, "Mary Star of the Sea." The band included former Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, former A Perfect Circle bassist Paz Lenchantin, former Tortoise guitarist David Pajo and former Chavez guitarist Matt Sweeney

That is some of the worst news I have heard in awhile. He was the worst part of that band, why would he butcher music more than he already has?
Sorry, but that band and the tea party are my two most hated bands...ever.

Sorry, but that band and the tea party are my two most hated bands...ever. Agree on the Corgan/Pumpkins/Zwan part. The only thing I like from Corgan & Co is the Smashing Pumpkins debut-album "Gish". Everything after was crap! I hate his voice! Tea Party however... Okay they're butchers too...the Doors/Led Zeppelin/Joy Division everything goes into the mincing-machine. But they are a real good live-band! Saw them 2 times. I only know there first 2 albums but I kinda like 'em... (& they're canadian ofcourse )

Being Canadian is the only good part about them. . .I have seen them live as well, at EDGEfest. Thought they were a disgrace to music. Thats my opinion

Umm..yah billy bob lost me with the whole zwan garbagio. If he didn't make it with them..what makes him think he will blow up on his own? And the tea party sound just sounds like a broken record with the setting on slow to me. rrEEEoooorrrrr.....UUUUUUurrrchK!

I used to listen to Smashing Pumpkins back around their first two records. When I go back and listen to them now, I can't help but wonder what the fu*k I was thinking.
Oh yeah, and I saw them live once when they headlined Lolapalooza and they sucked.
I wish Billy-boy would retire.

Personally I can't stand Corgan. I just wish he would quit music altogether, like he did when he was "not willing to compete with the likes of Britney Spears and N'Synch"
