Yeah I always love seeing setlists. Normally what we do is include setlists with our reviews/wrap-ups of the gigs, but we could post them here too.

We usually only get 10 songs, maximum in Alberta.

It was a great concert in Karlstad! Danko in the year of 2006 is better than ever!

Seems like they are starting to bring back some great old songs they haven't played in a while. Very exciting.
On a side note I feel like no one on this board talks about the new drummer. Whats he like? Damon was such a huge part of the bands live performance I can't believe more people haven't discussed the change. How are Dan's backups(vocal)? Does he bring a lot of enenergy to the performance or is he just a freaking amazing drummer. Not looking to start trouble, just curious, and the only review anyone really mentions him in was the tour warm up show at the horse shoe.

I've seen DanCo twice now - at both recent Horseshoe Tavern shows. The first was his first ever show, and I could really see a difference at the more recent show. He seemed right at home. No backing vox though, but he holds it down. I doubt anybody will be disappointed.   |

The funny thing is, I went to the last show for the specific reason of seeing the new guy in action. But then, I was too busy enjoying the music to notice what dan was doing. Sounded good to me. I think you'd have to know about drums to give an accurate review, and since I don't, I just say he's good, until he fucks up  . If he doesn't, well then I say "yay dan, hit those drums buddy." Maybe If I could hear them both playing at the same time it would be easier to say what was what. The only noticeable difference I guess would be in their mannerisms? Damon just was always very serious looking, smashing the hell out of the drums, sweat flying, arms flailing. Dan looks maybe a bit nervous, but more smiley? I guess? Not so serious anyway. That's all I could really say. |

Thanks! One more question, if Dan doesn't sing who sings back ups now. I have seen danko jones play a bunch of times and I don't remember JC ever doing any singing. So is it all danko now? It seems like that would realy restrict things.

In the other two shows they played 'Bounce' instead of 'Sugar Chocolat' and 'Suicide Woman' instead of 'Mango Kid'
And about the backup vocals, in Holland both JC and Dan did some.

Hey Guys, I think the setlist in Switzerland for both shows in Zürich 4.4.06 and Fribourg 5.4.06 was about the same as already posted, but I will still look up if it is so, anyways if you wanna see pics of these to concert and of my Danko Jones obsession check musicmendsbrokenhearts.myphotoalbum.commore pictures of danko jones stuff are coming soon JC does sing backings, well he did on these two shows, dan did such a great job, he's an amazing drummer, enjoy the pics and the rest of the gigs, can't wait to see them live again in summer @ gurtenfestival, yiha!! |
