Well that is good news, but I'll wait confirmation from Dobbs, but if it is a go it'll be a hell of a send off before their Europe Strut

I am clarifying the details right now and will mail out shortly. I didn't want to give out the wrong info on how the show will be "free" as it's a little complicated.
Toronto ADMINS, mail me pronto.

Danko Jones will be headlining a late night gig at the Horseshoe this Saturday night, March 4. It's part of a CHART Magazine and CMW Showcase. The Danko Jones *portion* of the show is FREE which means that it is going to be PACKED. @9:00 - The Diableros’. @10:00 - Elliott Brood’ @11:00- JON RAE & THE RIVER from Vancouver @12:00 - WINTERSLEEP, from Halifax ‘’, @1:00 - SYLVIE, From Regina
2:00 AM - DANKO JONES will not take the stage till 2 AM but other bands will play first .
If you want to increase your chances of seeing Danko Jones play, get there early and pay to get in and see the other bands: $8.50 Adv @tm-Hs-Rt-Ss. $10.00 @door.
If you want to go for free, it becomes "no cover" at approx 1:20 am, but remember that you are NOT guaranteed entry. The 'Shoe will be serving alcohol till 4am.
Just remember this is CMW and very hard to get in. Unless you have the passes and all that stuff.

stayclassy, as far as I know if you have a ticket you're guaranteed entry. doesn't matter what time you go at. (perhaps clarify by mailing the horseshoe or seeing if there is a disclaimer on the ticket, which there sometimes is).

Yeesh..the band really takes that Finger song literally, don't they? What can you say, the old el-birdo takes good pictures and just makes them SING.
I've made up my mind, I'll be there! See you there, MK and spun...and hopefully parkdale!
Word.
Up.

Well, i'm so angry and tired right now, my report probably won't be very accurate or interesting. I couldn't believe how packed it was there last night. I got there at 12 and there was a line up down the block, thank u sooo much JC/Dobbs for stickin my stank ass on guest list, otherwise I wouldnt have seen anything. SO I'm in there about 1 am, I see "sylvie", which I actually liked. The last song was hilarious when they had all their friends on stage., note to self: become friends with more bands. So DJ takes the stage, crowd goes wild. My favourite was: Alive & on Fire, I almost lost my damn little mind. I'm wondering if any forum member scooped the songlist, it was a nice mix of old & new. Everyone raved. Banter was funny, loved Danko's little dance number to his "fav song." Unfortunately, I wasn't in prime show condition, as I went to a show beforehand. It was also pretty squishy & hot. I got elbowed in the head, an unidentified flying water bottle hit the front of my hat. I didn't want to even write a review, I was simply going to post all my pictures and have you judge for yourselves, what it was like. Maybe someone else has some shots. mine were sooo goood, I even had a good one of dan. I had danko pointing at the crowd, I had JC in this pose, that looked like he was on the cover of some kind of sexy rockstar mag. I'm so bummed. Mango, Tidy, sway...come say something good. P.S some guy was videotaping it right behind me & mango, so maybe its out there floating about internetland.

There were two shows last night. ... Remember when I alluded to the fact that there were two secret shows? ... First was an industry party at 7:30pm. There was a nice amount of people there enjoying all the FREE alcohol. It kinda looked like this ... I'll put the butter in your scotch!!The set was a little shorter then the later gig but it was still kick ass. These shows were not by any means "warm-up" shows. Danko Jones does not know the meaning of the word. You just say go and the man is ready with 200% enthusiasm. It's exhausting just watching. During the break between sets these righteous radio dudes took us out to a fancy French restaurant for some food and drinks. Danko - 'Yeah Yeah, there was this one show where I delivered a baby right in the middle of the set. It was awesome.' Radio Dudes - 'Dude that's awesome. Let's all go to strip joint.' John Calabrese for Chimay Beer - 'Just try to be like me, for once in your life' I didn't order the steak like everybody else did. For some reason I ordered this pumpkin ravioli dish with vegetables. An hour and a half later this arrived... 5 raviolis, I should've ordered 7 of theseThen we headed back to the Horseshoe for the 2:15am set. There was a big line up out front with all these people waiting inside... Hey everybody lets all sweat!!And if you were lucky enough to get it in the show would kinda look like this for you ... Fuck it's loud in here. But for me, with my belly full of Ravioli the show kinda looked like this ... Fuck it's hot in here.
