I'm back from the Wacken festival, in Germany ! DANKO JONES played an awesome show, ... as usual, and kicked the ass of all the 62 000 metalheadz who sold out the festival !
Danko was one of the only "rock" artist, among tons of Death, Black and Thrash metal bands on the bill. Definitely one of my favorite show of the whole fest, with MINISTRY !

What the hell? One of my friends is a real 'blacky', went to Wacken and really enjoyed Danko! And his opinion was that the audience digged it.. Not all blackies are that narrow minded  |

The pictures look very metal, and the reaction from the crowd is exactly what I expected. Real good, real nice welcome from all those metalheads to one of the few "rock" acts on the bill at wacken.

Thanks for the links and photo enomar, looks like almost everybody had a good time ...i was confindent that Danko Jones would put on a crowd pleasing show for these metalheads and obviously they did. Danko himself says they don't have the chops to play metal, but that's ok too...who cares really, we love em just the way they are...fucking awesome  |

Nice pics indeed, specially Nr. 9, looks like he really is alive and on fire (check left leg)
but I think it's really lame to post only pics of Danko himself and none of J.C. or Dan

It seems that Danko had some problems while playing onstage, because I read a review about Wacken Open Air in the Aardschok mag and it says that some army stunt helicopter was flying above the festival area during Danko's set and lotsa people where looking at that instead of looking at the band. Danko didn't like this at all, stopped the show and ordered the crowd to look at him..  Again, someone can confirm this? |

I know the Danko Jones show @ W.O.A has been broadcast on german TV with Motorhead and Rose Tatto the same day.
If anyone taped this I'm interested in these three shows,and I'm willing to trade some stuff.
