I heard from a friend of mine (who lives in Copenhagen) that Danko have had a secret gig in Copenhagen yesterday? Does somebody knew that?

hmm....doesn't seem likely. if there was a secret gig it would be for fans...unless they were doing an industry showcase,tv show or maybe jamming at some kind of' friends and family only' event like a wedding party or something like that. i'm sure if there was actually a gig the Dutch Danko Army would have been the first to know... wouldn't Danko have announced it here and invited you? on that note, where is Danko? no news from him lately and the new podcast he mentioned he'd be doing after the eastpack tour hasn't materialised.it just seems so eerily quiet. what are the guys doing at the moment? we'd like to know! Dankooooooooo! are you out there? ?

Well, he's showing up on the board from time to time, but I guess the guys are having vacation after such a big promo tour for S.I.T.E. plus the festival tours, they really deserve it! but like we know Danko and the guys (never lazy and hard working!), they surely be heading soon off for another tour or Danko alone for a spoken words tour?

I don't think that the boys played in Copenhagen either, because they have vacation now. But a friend told me, thats the reason for my question.

perhaps it was a Danko Jones tribute band! maybe an all girl band called The Danko Janes....that would be cool! don't worry about my rant, i was just suffering from DJ withdrawal symptons and feeling a bit tetchy over a lack of gig going recently ( just started art college so i've not really got enough cash to travel to gigs).but now there's a podcast (at last!)at least now we know they're just having a rest rather than a lengthy hiatus for the next year or so (we'd really miss them, wouldn't we?) and there's a new album on the way!!!.

As far as I know, they won't be back in Europe till 2008.
I think I need a moment to weep.

Heard the same rumor from danko himself, they won't be back in Europe for another year. We'll have to reach our inner happy place to come over this, but hey let's have a very big welcome ready for them when they come back in 2008.

don't be too sad about it please! you've had your fair share of Danko action this year..though i understand you want more...and more...and more! you insatiable lot!i've managed to get a little bit myself even though it's involved long journeys(a few hundred miles each time) and scraping out the bowl of savings (several hundred quid each time). i'd waited 2 YEARS to see the guys live...i'm happy that i got to see one headlining show and that was my first Danko gig.i'll admit that with the short Wireless festival set and the tiny support slot they got in the UK on the Eastpak tour i was envious of you all on mainland europe (and in Canada)cos you lot get all the headlining slots, extra long encores with special guests like John Garcia, acoustic sets, you get to see them on tv,hear them on radio...even attend a radio show gig and Q&A session. the band even like hanging out with you all for pics and chat after the shows. come on people....they've got fans elsewhere too.i dont even know if they'll ever come back to the UK...and they haven't played in Wales since 2004 ( just before i discovered them,so i've never seen them in my home country ) at least they'll come back and play for you 'cos they love playing for you...you're their second home!
