I saw Danko Jones in Regina last night. As always the show was incredible! I was going to be in Toronto the weekend of the 23rd and was going to check him out on that Friday night. Now I find out the show has been CANCELLED? What gives? Does anybody here no why? Please don't tell me that no one bought tickets and that's the reason he won't be doing the gig...

They've had to cancel three gigs 'cos Danko's got a chest/ throat infection and he needs a few days to rest and recover...it's just been posted up on dankojones.com news. It also said the shows will be rescheduled. So my guess is....maybe they'll try and slot them in after this upcoming run of European fesivals, and before the UK tour?

Hey guys,
I'm really sorry we had to cancel the shows in Waterloo, Hamilton and Toronto.
Yes, I am very under the weather. I have been sick since the Grand Prairie show but we've been powering through it and will continue to power through 'til we get home. My fever broke days ago but it's been replaced with some bad respiratory problems.
People are saying it's due to all the time zones we had to pass in a few short days from Frankfurt to Vancouver but I'm 100% sure the real reason is my 8.5 hour flight next to a man who did not stop coughing for the whole ride.
Sorry I've disappeared after a lot of the shows on this tour too, but maybe now some of you know why. I'll be seeing my GP the day after we get home on Tuesday.
Once again my apologies to anyone who may have been inconvenienced by the cancellations.

That last post is what makes this band the best.... nothing else needs to be said.
However, when "making up" these shows Danko..... swing by Edmonton and I won't be in Vegas this time - heard I missed a good one!

Well I really can't say I'm disappointed...I'm going on vacation during the dates the original shows were scheduled so its the perfect time for an illness. Haha, all kidding aside get better soon Danko.

I wish I had seen the shows, sick or not... From what people have said it still rocked as hard as any other time. Thanks for sticking it out as much as humanly possible for us!

No info for sure, but by looking at the dates they've got booked on the main site, its gotta be either in Sept, Oct, or in the new year. Other than that its pretty much booked solid with the Motorhead tour overseas.

Just noticed a Toronto date in September (the 7th I believe) on the main site.
Hopefully some Canadian dates are announced as part of that "swing" through Canada!
