There is now a brand new Danko mp3 posted at www.dankojones.net/media_audio.htm of a live version of "Hot Damn Woman"! It's from a TV appearance on Barend & Van Dorp on Dec 8, 2003. Y'all should thank jackfromjudy for this one - he made it and I posted it just now.

Yeah, I would like to hear that too. I would've bought the CD but I would've been buying it only for Danko and god forbid I deprive someone else of that damn Finger Eleven song.

You know what? The version of Sound Of Love that they put on the CD is not exactly what went to air the day of the radio show. It has been remixed and mastered to actually sound GOOD. I have a recording of that entire show and the mix that went out to air was TERRIBLE with a capital "T"!!! They played 3 songs - "Sound Of Love", "Lovercall", and "Bounce". Bounce was last and by that time the sound guys seemed to figure out how to work the mixing board. Bounce was the only song that was usable to post online. Sound Of Love had the guitar mic completely off for the whole song so you only hear Danko's guitar through the vocal mic (so the guitar sounds all weak and in the background). All I can say is that I wanted to kick some Power97 ass when I heard what was broadcast. They made the band sound terrible! Later, when they started airing the live version of Sound Of Love, it had been remixed with everything sounding good. Like I said, I have the original broadcast but I think it's unpostable. If someone here knows someone who has a copy of the CD, I'd love to get an mp3 of the good version of Sound Of Love.

Don't suppose you know the date of the malmofestivalen show, toppleR? No i have no idea, it is usually at the end of the summer. But it is not a music festival, it is more like a big city festival.

Ok, have to admit. I didn't like live bootlegs BEFORE, but when it comes to Danko Jones.... I LOVE THEM!
I just got The Mans live bootleg from Malmö Sweden, recorded 16th August 2001. It ROCKS! As well does Hultsfred bootleg. WOW!
Thank you Ossy!

Just found this thread.....on the ball as always!! i have the hultsfred show on video; excellent quality from a tv broadcast, i believe. AND i have a minidisc of a show at the Metro club in London; sound needs tidying up, though; JC is all over everything. If anyone's got any suggestions as to the best way to do it, sing out.. ;D ;D ;D

If anyone's got any suggestions as to the best way to do it, sing out.. ;D ;D ;D Well, that depends on what audio software you got. With those very expensive programmies you can achieve miracles, but with the (not so expensive) software I got you have to be a little creative. Manipulating EQ/compress it a bit etc, but be carefull with those, cause you can wreck it all so...
