Awefuckingsome show. Crowd was a little, or a lot, tame, really...but the show itself was smokin'.

Hey Guys, Went to the show last night and it was unbelievable! I'm sure Tidyman will give a better show review. Club was pretty full, saw the guys from Bedouin Soundclash there and also met Mr. John Garcia! I'll get to that later. Opening sets by Rocketface and Illuminati were tight as always and you should definalty check them out. Danko hit the stage and blazed through their set. I can't recall all of the songs played are I was overcome by the sheer "rockness" of the night! They openend with Sticky Situation, and I believe the played Forget My Name, Sugar Chocolate, First Date, Play the Blues, Lovercall, Mango Kid, She's Drugs. During Cadillac a couple was behind me and the guy said to me "This guy is awesome", and then I said I know "seen him 7 times. " Turns out they were from California. So I then said..."Are you John?" Sure enough it was. Told him I was looking forawrd to seeing him up on stage later on during the show. and he was appreciative. Nice guy. Got my picture taken with him. It's pretty funny actually. The he was off to go back stage to get ready. I'll upload the pick as soon as I can figure it out. The finished off their main set with Mountain, which was pretty entertainng as Danko forgot a couple of time where he was in the "script." For the encore Danko came out to annouce this was the last show in support of Sleep is the Enemy and because of that they had a special guest and out came John Garcia. Let me just say it was they played so hard. They played a total of four songs together. I recored two of them. I believe one was "Going Home" and the other of course which they closed with was "Invisible". I would be happy to send this to who ever runs dankojones.net to post. It's not the greatest audio, but it is still pretty unique to see and hear. All in all it was an amazing night, thanks to Danko and John for an early Christmas gift. I'll Post more picks when I can go through them.

Uh...hyah....omfg that was effing amazing. I would've paid my rent money to see that...I will pay whatever you want if you ever do it again. It rivaled my first show where I kept looking at BC going "this is so fucking amazing...this is so fucking amazing" (please count how many times I swear in this entry) only it was my other friend who came and I was standing there completely awestruck and dumbfounded.
Rocketface was really good...I wanted to buy a cd...but the girls at the desk said there were none...curious, I saw people there later buying rocketface merch? Oh well. Illuminati were good, sang some newer stuff...but the mic for the lead singer was sucky...poor dude had to scream his heart out...they're always bad ass though. Danko super as always. I loved this show...bounce & mangokid (yah u missed it mango...wrong wrong choice)....wanted to hear the song about global warming though....damn the perverts in the audience. Dan...sorry about any flack I ever gave ya for bein new...you kicked some ass...I eat my words. I eat all my words really this entry. John..Garcia....Holy damn mother damn. I love you...run away with me. I had never previously known anything about the man until invisible (sorry for my hip hop roots) and then I thought "bah its better without him" NO no no wrong wrong....John kicks ass...big honking roseanne barr ass. I loved all the songs...I need to know what they are now..I need this music. It was also kewl to see the boys playing different music than usual. But john...whoa...I was blown away. Even just his stage presence...its like he gets up there and boom you can't look away. Anyways I've gone on and on...it was just so amazing...I think it is rivaling my first show ever for best show in my mind. I'm gonna try to make a photo journally thing...my pictures arent that great..i dint have the flash on because the lights were blinding in there..but some are kinda weirdly funky...so yes...I will show you when I put them up. Danko Jones + John Garcia = GOD DAMN THATS A GOOD SHOW!!

Yes it's true. Danko said it was the last show they were doing in support of Sleep Is The Enemy. Are they taking a hiatus? Is there another spoken word record on the way? Whatever is going on, it just felt like a special night. Everybody was way entertaining. Even the Illuminati who played a super short set marred by technical dificulties (they had to play half the first song as a bass & drum duo.) Danko and crew were amazing. There was a trio of jackasses in front of me who kept yelling "Kyuss", but thankfully the most obnoxious one of them got thrown out for lighting a doob. That shut them up. Then dude got back in during the Garcia set and promptly got thrown out again! Ha. Shout out to the Mod Club security. Yeah and John Garcia. The set they did together was incredible! Spun was right about his stage presence, and Danko played it perfectly. He stepped back and gave John the spotlight, until it was time for Invisible. I'll never forget hearing and seeing that song live, the way it was truly meant to be done. I wish I could have stayed for a while after the show, but I had to go. It was great seeing spun again (sorry I didn't say bye, spunster) but I wish I could have seen Mango, Bomber and sway. Okay I've rambled on long enough. Here are the pics: Rocketface The Illuminati John Garcia Danko & John When you're invisible it's easy I wish I could have gotten more shots, but I was busy absorbing the whole experience. Thanks for a great night Danko Jones and everybody!
